We’re Number One!
Oyster Easter has been voted the Best Charity Event by readers of the Nashville Scene in its Best of Nashville Contest! Thanks readers!
We must assume that you’ve all been to the first and best Spring party and enjoyed all the oysters you can eat, a sumptuous Cajun Buffet by South Street, the great music by Les Kerr and the Bayou Band, the cold beer, the wine, the oyster shooters, the Hula Hoop contest, the bag races and – ta da! – the exuberant race for Oyster King and Oyster Queen by some of Nashville’s most prominent citizens.
And as luck would have it, this prestigious award comes just three days before this year’s Oyster Easter, our 50th anniversary. It’s 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Travellers Rest and you can get tickets by visiting www.crcnashville.org.
Also don’t miss a tremendous night of music tonight, 7 -11 p.m., at The Tin Roof thrown by Oyster Easter candidates Rob Wagner and Chystie Wooley. The evening includes American Idol contestant Ann Marie B (Boskovich), Oh No No, Bear Cub, and The Devious Angels. For more information, visit their Oyster Easter Jam 2012 page on Facebook.
