Philosophy Tuesday: Despair
Yes, that is snow falling. Falling in the parking lot at CRC World Headquarters. On March 25. Will winter ever end? So I looked up a quote about despair because I’m so depressed.
“I wish I could tell you how lonely I am. How cold and harsh it is here. Everywhere there is conflict and unkindness. I think God has forsaken this place. I believe I have seen hell and it’s white, it’s snow white.” – Elizabeth Gaskell, North and South
Couldn’t agree more. Here’s another one.
“You can spend your life wallowing in despair, wondering why you were the one who was led towards the road strewn with pain, or you can be grateful that you are strong enough to survive it.” – J.D. Stroube, Caged by Damnation
Okay, I guess we’re strong enough to get through this one last dying gasp of the Polar Vortex. I guess.
