Boy Scout with a drill
Betsy is so excited she can barely contain herself. She is an organizational freak and today was better than Christmas and her birthday put together. We have shelves in the warehouse, courtesy of Kevin Higgins, a Boy Scout working on his Eagle ranking. Kevin is the son of our board president, Chip Higgins, and back in April I asked Chip if Kevin would be willing to construct shelves at CRC for his Eagle project.
Well, I had no idea how elaborate a process it is to get an Eagle project off the ground. Kevin had to research shelving, get building companies to donate materials, get his plan approved by myself and the Boy Scout higher ups and finally build the actual shelves.
But not alone. Chip, his wife, Barbara and the other two Higgins kidlets came along to help. Now that’s involvement by your board president. Chip is a VIB in town (Very Important Banker) and the fact that he would take his weekend and part of Kevin’s fall break off to work at CRC is really special to us.
So thanks to our Boy Scout with a drill and his fabulous family for making Betsy’s organizational dreams come true. She is going to be truly scary tomorrow.
