The new “cool factor” about Nashville is just astounding. First off, there are construction cranes everywhere. The mark of a city on the move. We have a new convention center, new outdoor amphitheater, new baseball stadium, exciting restaurants, craft brewers and most exciting to this reporter – our very own winery.
City Winery is a one-stop shop. It makes its own wines and has a wine bar with wines on tap (like beer, but better), a world-class music venue and a very fine restaurant. Would you like some wagyu beef tartare followed by smoked duck leg confit? Well, yes. Yes, indeed. I would. The winery draws an impressive line-up of musicians including John Mayall, Asleep at the Wheel and Maura O’Connell.
And, best of all, it’s just a really cool place to hang out. It’s got the “come on in and stay awhile” vibe.
So we are thrilled that City Winery agreed to be the wine sponsor for our mega fundraiser, Oyster Easter.
For the first time in the 53-year history of the event, we’ll be serving wine made right here in Music City along with Blackstone beer, also made in Nashville. And that’s to go along with a great Cajun buffet from one of the Nashville Original’s, South Street. So it’s all local all the time this year.
If you’ve never been to Oyster Easter this is a great year to try us out. Great wine, great beer, great food and great fun.
