This is what more than 400 bikes looked like when they came to the CRC warehouse for safe keeping while Hands On Nashville volunteers refurbished them for its ReCYCLE for Kids program. The bikes – in various stages of disrepair – were donated and then spruced up for children who would otherwise not have a bike. And nobody wants to see a child without a bike.
So the bikes came in and out of the warehouse during a four-month span to get fixed and then stored until the giveaway. Saturday was the day. You can read all about it here. And you can see what a little elbow grease and a lot of compassion and commitment gets you here.
