Catherine Mayhew is the executive director of the Community Resource Center. Catherine graduated from Murray State University with degrees in Journalism and Political Science, and spent 30 years in the newspaper business before jumping over to the nonprofit side. She’s been the executive director since 2005. She is also a certified master barbecue judge, an All-Star blogger for Char-Broil, a PEO and a proud member of the Women of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Catherine has also received the Medal of Awesomeness from Emma E-Mail Marketing (it’s a real award) for being their most confused but loyal customer. By the way, in this nonprofit “executive director” also means spraying for weeds, taking out the trash and cleaning the toilets.

Jay Cleveland is the assistant director at CRC. Jay is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in behavioral science. He is an expert in social media and it’s application in the nonprofit world and is enthusiastic about nonprofit management and development. He’s a loyal volunteer at both the Nashville Rescue Mission and the Oasis Center. Jay also understands the world of small nonprofits and enthusiastically WD-40’s the dumpster and vacuums the warehouse floor (actually he’s kind of compulsive about that).
