We are three chicks (formerly two chicks) - Catherine Mayhew, Betsy Everett, and Kim Council and a warehouse - the Community Resource Center (CRC). In short, CRC is a nonprofit organization that provides household goods, furniture, and appliances to people in desperate need. Think of us as Robin Hoods – without the stealing.
Catherine is a former journalist and Betsy is the marketing chick. We are both devoted to acquiring stuff – good stuff, no junk – because that’s what our most fragile citizens deserve.
After the May 2010 flood, Kim Council (Chick 3) joined the CRC staff to help with flood relief. With her help, CRC has distributed over $3 million in supplies to flood survivors. Kim continues to manage the distribution of furniture items to flood survivors.
